Get ready for a thrilling comeback! Heart, the legendary classic rock band, is back with a bang! After a decade-long hiatus, they're gearing up to release a brand-new album, and it's an exciting prospect for fans worldwide.
Heart's lead vocalist, Nancy Wilson, recently revealed in an interview that she and her sister, Ann Wilson, are in the creative zone, crafting new songs. This marks a significant milestone, as their last full-length album, "Beautiful Broken," was released in 2016. And get this—it's been over 50 years since their iconic debut in 1975!
"I'm going through a creative phase right now," Nancy shared. "I feel like this is the perfect time for Heart to celebrate our legacy. We're planning to make one last Heart album and go on a victory lap tour."
While the recording process hasn't been officially announced, Heart is currently on tour, with concerts scheduled until mid-March. The lineup includes the dynamic Wilson sisters, who co-founded the band in 1973, along with members of Ann's solo band, Tripsitter.
"We're thrilled to play together with this incredible lineup," Nancy added. "There are no limits to what we can achieve musically. I've got a few songs ready, and Ann is working on more with her band. I think 2027 will be all about the Heart film and documentary."
But here's where it gets controversial... Heart's biopic has been in the works at Amazon Films for a while now, with a script by Carrie Brownstein. Nancy Wilson expressed her desire to see Elle and Dakota Fanning play the Wilson sisters, but casting hasn't been finalized yet.
Heart, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, is known for their powerful female-led hard rock sound and hits like "Alone," "Barracuda," and "Crazy on You." Ann Wilson, now 75, successfully battled cancer in 2024, while Nancy, 71, is also a renowned film composer, having worked on soundtracks for "Almost Famous," "Jerry Maguire," and "Elizabethtown."
With over a dozen tour dates lined up over the next month, Heart is ready to rock! Although there are no New York stops planned, fans can grab their tickets on Vivid Seats, StubHub, or Seat Geek.
