Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: Jesus Returns! Carabao Cup Quarter-Final Team News & Preview (2026)

Team News: Arsenal's Lineup for the Carabao Cup Quarter-Final

The stage is set for an intriguing Carabao Cup quarter-final clash between Arsenal and Crystal Palace, with the Gunners making strategic changes to their starting lineup. Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian forward, is set to make his first start since January 12th, leading the attack against the Eagles. This marks a significant milestone for Jesus, as it's his 100th appearance for the club, and he has a history of success against Palace. Last December, he scored a hat-trick against them in the same stage of the competition, followed by a brace in the league just a few days later.

Manager Mikel Arteta has made eight changes to the side that secured a victory over Everton away on Saturday night. The goalkeeping duties will be handled by Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has been a consistent choice in the Carabao Cup. The defense remains largely unchanged, with Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, and Riccardo Calafiori retaining their positions. However, there's a new face in the left-back role, as Myles Lewis-Skelly steps in.

Mikel Merino takes on the captain's armband, joined in midfield by Eberechi Eze and Christian Norgaard. Up front, Jesus is supported by Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke, forming a formidable attacking trio.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, makes just three changes to the side that suffered a loss to Leeds United at the weekend. Former Arsenal player Eddie Nketiah keeps his place upfront, alongside Jean-Philippe Mateta. In goal, Daniel Benitez replaces Dean Henderson, while Jaydee Canvot and Jefferson Lerma come in for Nathanial Clyne and Will Hughes.

Here's the complete lineup for both teams:
